Nevada – LAS Vegas: Palermo-born violinist Jane Far named San Gennaro Feast Ambassador
The title of San Gennaro Feast Ambassador has arrived from the state of Nevada, Las Vegas, signed by the President of San Gennaro Feast, Inc. of Las Vegas, Italian-American entrepreneur Anthony Palmisano. Palermo-born violinist Giovanna Pia Ferrara, aka Jane Far, has been named San Gennaro Feast Ambassador.
Anthony Palmisano, President of Festa di San Gennaro, Inc. in Las Vegas, stated: “I am appointing Professor Maestro Giovanna Pia Ferrara (aka Jane Far) as Ambassador of the Festa di San Gennaro of Las Vegas for her extraordinary artistic and social commitment, for her constant commitment to promoting the values of culture, art, solidarity, Sicilianness, Italianness, and brotherhood through the universal language of music, and for her unconditional love for Sicily, Italy, and its traditions, which she has masterfully conveyed through every note of her compositions, every word, and every gesture, becoming the voice and symbol of our common roots beyond national borders.” In her role as Ambassador, thanks to her deep devotion to San Gennaro, she has been entrusted with the task of representing the spiritual, traditional, cultural, and fraternal values of the Feast of San Gennaro in Las Vegas, promoting its spirit in Italy and around the world and continuing—through her art, her music, her voice, and her violin—to testify that faith, culture, music, and art are powerful instruments of unity, hope, and the dissemination of Italian and Sicilian traditions and identity throughout the world.
